Tranquility
I chose a picture of my grandmother for this collage and submitted it for the Tranquility topic because her expression is so serene. She was 19 when the photo was taken, approximately 1912.
American women did not yet have the right to vote. I don't know how she felt about this, or whether she may have supported the women's suffrage movement. I would love to have known, but she left this world when I was young so I never had a chance ask her.

I didnt know that was your grandmother! That means she's MY greatgrandmother! I'll be. I love it. She does look very tranquil. I'm glad you are on such an art-roll! (I posted my entries for the past three weeks on my webpage and my flickr. Did you see them?) Bravo!
really neat--love the color and surrealness of it.
Amazing colors!
And that makes her MY MOTHER!!
She would be greatly honored that her photo is used in this beautiful way!
She was not an artist, but she appreciated it, and was a collector of lovely poetry and prose which expressed her beautiful heart!
Thanks, Jaimie!!
Hey, that's MY grandma too! You do such good work, Sister dear..I'm very proud of you.
Daughter Dear,
