Cat

Someone from a knitting company emailed me; she said she liked the work I post here and wondered if I would be interested in doing some illustrations for one of their products. So I made some pen and ink sketches based on what they said they were looking for, scanned and emailed them, but never heard back from the knitters.
Q. So what to do with unused sketches? And how to apply them to this week's topic?
A. Paint a picture of a woman knitting scarf and booties for her miniature cheetah.

Acrylic paint on art board.

I wish my cheetah would hold still long enough for me to measure her feet for socks.

this is such a unique idea and of course your signature warmth and colours are the greatest!!! I think they are remiss in not getting back to you... I could see this and your work as art and impetus that would make knitters want to get creative!!!

Oh, I love this! You have a way of making the unusual seem quite normal...I mean, doesn't everyone have a miniature cheetah? The woman looks so content making a little outfiot for him/her.... Always such gorgeous colors!

I love this! I don't think a miniature cheetah would be a comfortable pet, but it would be an interesting one. I really like your use of color, too.
