Cold
The figures were drawn with ink and water soluble colored pencils, then cut out and pasted onto a background of tissue paper. Click to enlarge.
(I'm not sure what the animal is. I found a sketch of one that I drew years ago, but it had no name.) It doesn't show up well in this scanned image but the girl is holding a snow globe.

I like the collage effect, Jaimie. I love the things one can do with tissue paper! Once again, you'ce created another great illustrtaion. The blue and white background and the blowing wind gives this such a feeling of cold winter. I think your creature is some kind of an antelope...certainly much cooler to be seen with than a dog!
Awesome stuff... I love both your art and the words you use with your art.
Since I'm so into making spheres in my own collages, I'm excited about the two spherical objects in your collage (the moon and the snow globe.)
Very cool collage, woman!
I haven't visited your page before. Lovely! Especially the saturated and graduated colors. I think the animal looks like a horny (sorry!) llama. Especially the face/nose!
Is it an Ibex? (Is that even an animal?) or an Impala? Is it wearing a scarf?
Next, draw an alpaca. That's my request.
Hi,
Beautiful and cold, just what you were going for. Well done!

Hi Jaimie...I've returned to tell you that you've been tagged...I hope you don't mind...it's kinda fun to play:>

Another beautiful entry. You've got the greatest sense of color.
Hi Jaimie,
This game of "tag" has been going around (I've been tagged twice), and all you have to do is list 20 random facts about yourself and then tag as many people as mintes it took you to list the facts. I can totally understand how you don't want to adulterate the concept of your blog, and Blogger doesn't have the capablity to create categories. If you want to play, you could always treat us to a new illustration that shows something about you and then list the facts below.
But don't worry about it...do whatever works for you :>
Carla
Lovely rich colours that ink gives. Great idea to use tissue paper for the background.
