Night
I'm not sure what this is. I wanted to paint with acrylics (since I hadn't for a few years) and also use an artboard, which I had never done.
So it started out with the chair, window and background, in acrylic paint. Then I decided on a figure seated on the chair, but I wanted it to be transparent, so I made that with tracing paper, colored pencil and watercolor.
I have no idea what that thing is that she is holding. It just happened that way.

I really like the transparency of the girl/ghost ... the 'thing' is a ghoulie from your dreams,. Hey that looks like an evil black bunny/bat/cat from my nightmares! Again great application of colour use and imagination!

You have such a great sense of colour. deep, rich, edible colour. i love this about your illustrations.
Wonderful colours as usual. I find this image very compelling. What I like best is that though the figure is transparent and therefore apparently insubstantial the thing she holds is solid and secure.

perfection. i absolutely love her. the creature she clutches so dear is adorable and i want one. that mean-looking cat is familiar but i think it lives inside of the not-always-so-friendly Sydney.

I like the spontaneity of this piece. It is dreamlike, for sure. Great technique and colors.
This is surreal like your other work, but it's also very eerie. I think it's the transparanet figure woth the blue face...she has a puzzled look. I like the fact that you just went where your hands took you and ended up in this fascinating place...the colors and composition are lovely, and the whole mysterious vibe is entrancing.

I really like this painting. When I saw it I immediately thought off a poem by Lord Byron:
"SHE walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies,
And all that's best of dark and bright

No, I didn't memorize it. I looked it up. As I reread it, I thought it was nice how I could still relate it to your painting all the way through. Though, I think your painting adds a darker spin to it.
