Spring
The return of the bugs occurs as spring begins.
I started this for the insect topic but couldn't finish it in time, so I finally adapted it to the theme of spring.
Here is a picture of some of my paintings around my kitchen window.
Another with two pictures added. I had to take this because it snowed last night!
Acrylic paint and ink on a 10 x 8 in. board

beautiful painting as always!! Love the bug, and the moon in the background! :)
Wonderful piece, your colours are so vibrant. Makes my eyes want to sing!
Wow, Jaimie, this is beautiful (as usual!). I love the vivid colours, you can almost see it moving. That's the most attractive bug I've seen so far too!
Excellent tribute to spring. Love your colours and the jewel tones are especially fitting for this amaxing beastie!
This has a very myusterious and mystical feeling to it - perhjaps because of the moon in the background. Your insect is otherworldly...and seems to be in its own world. I checked out your photo of the paintings around the window - waht a great collection! They must really make you happy when you look at them...such gorgeous colors!
Pretty!
I love the arrangement of your paintings, too. So colorful.
Fantastic! Love the shapes and colors of the background too!
AS always! Bright and beautiful! I really love that image in the top right corner!!....FANTASTIC!
I enjoyed seeing your paintings hanging. Keep on working towards the floor. Lovely place to sit and eat breakfast, too. As for your insect, I love this more unusual idea for spring (even if it was inspired by something else) and the image and colours are as luscious as usual. You pack a lot into a small painting!
As usual I am captivated by the way you put color on the canvas, very different and fresh, really fine your spring, a different look at it, from the beautiful insects point of view, lovely!
We are mostly in "grub" mode these days... haven't really seen many bugs yet. They come out later in the season! Love the patterned background and intense colors.
the vibrant colors you use lend themselves well to a theme like this. well done! ps i love your kitchen gallery!
I'm not an usual fan of collor, but I do like your work on this one...
Love your colours as usual, and well done for the monster post.
Excellant!!! i saw some little flying insects the other day when we had a warm spell. Then it snowed. Ah well the nice weather and bugs will soon be here.
Gorgeous colors and imagery!
Wonderful and beautiful. You folks on the East Coast have big ol' bugs, huh? 'Twould take some getting used to for me. We have pretty small, manageable ones out here. Yeah, a few wasps and skeeters and such...
Hey, great photo of the art around your window... I recognize that zebra taking a bath... one of my all-time favorites.
Oooh...I love seeing all of your paintings on the wall!! This one will make a nice addition to it. "Spring" was a fun topic, huh? On an unrelated note... I just noticed that you're a Cancer - me,too! :-)
Those paintings around your kitchen window look so great, all together like that. So colorful! (I also LOVE the "chimpeach" on your last post!) Thanks for visiting my site -- your art is wonderful. I'll be back!
I love seeing your paintings in your home!!! They look so beautiful in your kitchen and the snowey back drop is amazing! This new one is so cool, love the moon and insect! I would love to trade with you sometime if you were into it? No pressure only if you wanted to part with something.
